: : : After laying 2 eggs on the 18 th. Ere. fem. stopped lador
: : : Now on the 23rd. she started laying again. I found 1 perfect egg
: : : this morning I still feel atleast 7 more. can i relax now??
: : My advice is to take it to your herp vet for pitocin if she hasn't dropped the eggs by tomorrow. The fact you have been willing to wait this long shows you have more patience than me. I'd have lost sleep, checked on the snake every hour and been to the vet 3 times by now.
: : Do you have a good herp vet? If not, post the area where you live and maybe somebody may have a suggestion. Good luck,

: jeff,
: At this stage in the game the prime consideration for you needs to be saveing the life of your female. She may still go many more days and drop an egg every 2-3 days, but you can never tell. As time goes by, the eggs being allready past their due date, the putrify inside her. take her to a vet in the next 48 hrs and talk to him about surgically removeing them or aspirateing the eggs through the side walll of her body cavity. aspiration is cheaper, but results are not guaranteeed. I wanted to ask you how big this snake is and if this is her first year breeding? Tried to call you, but couldnt get through. Will try tonight. Take care and remain calm.
