I have never seen them in the cage itself though from the piles left behind I know they do come out once and awhile. To feed I merely drop thawed mice into the drawer and they're gone w/in 10 minutes. I have now separated them so as to more accurately gauge the feeding intakes of both snakes. In my opinion, you have been very lucky. To leave adult Drymarchons together, especially during feeding, is not what I would reccommend. I keep all my drymarchons seperated at all times, except for breeding. They bite their own bodies during there quest for food. Do yo think they would think twice about biting another snake? As far as temps and other conditions, I try to make their conditions as natural as possible. around 60 F at night and 75-80F days. The daylight cycle must get shorted during the winter. When you put them together, yo need to watch them for awhile to make sure they have breeding on their minds. When they are done, seperate them again. Good luck.
