or...you can even try sewing a rat to a chick or mouse. I used this method to get a Spilotes pullatus over to rats from chicks and it worked well. The thread comes out in the feces. Now he eats rats like crazy

Worst comes to worst, if he's got good body weight, don't feed him for a few weeks, let him shed...and then try. Healthy indigos have trouble turning down food if they are good and hungry.
