Honestly, I've always incubated them the same as other colubrids with the exception of lower temps. Like Doug, I shoot for 78 degrees as an ideal temp. This is my fouth year donig this, and the first year I kept them at about 82-84. Out of 5 good eggs, 3 were perfect and 2 were pretty badly kinked. The next 2 years I incubated them at 78 with perfect results (on fertile eggs)
As for bedding, I've never been much for vermuculite. I use a simple "damp rag" method...believe it or not, and it works for me. I simply place a slightly damp cloth under and another over the top of the clutch, and place them in a plastic shoebox, which is then placed on bricks within a coverd aquarium with about 3" of water in in. This method has worked great for me! I haven't heard about lack of oxygen being an issue late in development as you mentioned...what do you know about this and where did you get the info? I'm very interested. Thanks!
