Jeff,
Put a nestbox in of a suitable size for your snake to enter/exit easily, insure that the hole that is to be the entenace in it is large enough to accomodate the snakes girth. Put the nestbox in the cage but not directly below heat element. Disturb snake as little as possible. offer water but do no leave in cage for prolonged period of time. Fill box with spaghnum moss, misted down well and do not allow the moss to dry out. bite your nails off and try not to stress :)
