: My experience with indigos and raw nose is limited to just one snake, but this is what worked for me. Give the snake a bigger cage and a nice, damp humidity box. My snakes nose healed in 2 sheds.

Dean,
Had a male Eastern about 8 years ago that rubbed its nose very badly. A lot of nose rubbing occurs when males want to breed and pace their cages or when the animal is wild caught and has not adapted to captivity at all, or the temps are to high and the snake just wants out.
in my case the male came from a shop here in ca. and though I could not prove it, I beleive to this day that he was wild caught, given his parasite load and genereal malise. I no longer go anywhere near that shop, I will not post name here, but e-mail me if you have questions.
At any rate, I would put a very large hiudebox in the cage with spaghnum, keep the temps down, and in a pinch I would put him in one of tyhose cages with soft plastic panels instead of glass that gives when you push in on it. The nose should heal up with in 3-4 sheds.
