this is how i keep mine, i one animal per cage, 6' x 3' x2' cage, one large hide box each end and a large water bowl, paper substrate, heat pads under one box set at 80of, ive found they prefer cooler temps and so i keep the room at 70of at all times. and subsequently produced a lot of them in the past few years. go through the usual cyclling in the winter, similar to boids but 75 to 80of during the day and down to 60of at night, both animals will still accpet food but smaller than ususal, males often refuse. short day 0f 8hrs. warm them feed them etc etc eventually eggs incubator, 820f 90days hey presto, indigos simple (almost) if there was one major tip that i could give it would be, dont breed females to young as this species is very prone to egg binding the eggs are very large, so a large three year old or older and bigger the better.
oh yes they dont as much food as some people say, i had one guy say he gave his ten big mice, well just because it wants ten doesnt mean it should get ten, i feed one appropriate size rat every 6 to 8 days i offer the second after its crapped (again they dont crap that much with me either)i weigh them every month, looking for a good gradual increase (i get females to about 6ft in three years, any faster is overdoing it possibley to the detriment of the animals). this is my method of producing healthy adult who produce healthy young.
