: The following was posted by a "gentleman" named John Hays in the kingsnake forum. It should be noted that the smae individual has also been trolling the venomous forum, where he has done nothing bu annoint himself as the judge of who is qualified to keep certain snakes.
: "Alas, I've forgotten nothing! I see Indigos quite a bit in south central Florida actually. They are foul, nasty customers that's for sure - why anyone would want one for a pet is beyond me!! They are beautiful too. BUT, a large Florida King or 7' Chain could easily take even a 8' Indigo (the largest Indigo on record is 8.5 feet). Like Keith said, they don't call them Kings for nothing!! Plus, the Kingsnakes head and neck anatomy (especially Florida's and Chains) give them the edge. And also remember that Kings can actually eat snakes larger and longer than themselves. My guess is that the Indigo would haul some butt if it came across a huge Florida King in the wild! In the end the Indigo would be overpowered like any other snake that was fool enough to stand and fight a large King. Face it bro, Kings just rule...period!!"
: If you wish to help me out in this debate, please see the kingsnake forum. I agree that it's a rather pointless debate, but this "hack" is passing himself off as a herp-god who knows it all, and is better than all.
What a red neck! Who cares. If thats what I wanted I would Keep mongooses!
