Peter,

I've only had this species once - a large import female that produced 12 fertile eggs. But the lighter of the two looks more like the one I had, the darker looks very dark to me. I suspect that this species - with its very broad distribution and relatively uncommon occurance in the trade will turn out to have a lot of regional variation. They are great snakes at any rate, hope you have good luck with the!
