: Hello, all!
: I'm looking for advice on feeding and handling indigos - I now feed my indigos and cribos a mouse or two every other day, as opposed to the weekend mousefests before. Now that I am feeding them more often, I don't have that 'two day window' that I used to have with a week between feedings.
: How soon after feeding should an indigo be handled considering the size of the meal (a five foot, six foot, and seven footer getting two mice every day or so, and a baby girl getting a fuzzy a day), and the high metabolism inherent to the species?
: Thanks for your help!'

I dont handle ANY of my easterns for a period of at least 48 hrs after feeding. Only problem with feeding every other day is that you are constantly cleaning cages(Not that your not anyway!!:) A seven foot Indigo would starve on two mice every two days, that is just MY opinion, i neither push my snakes nor starve them, but like me they go through periods of feast or famine.
Avoid handleing them if you can, esp. after a meal, they dont need the stress. just my 2 cents worth.
