My indigo male did something very odd today. I gave him a meal of two medium sized rats, a rather smallish meal for him. I went to check on him an hour after feeding and it smelled like the cage smells when I put the indigos together to mate, i.e., snake semen. I looked closely at him and it he had some whitish gunk on his back. I guess he really liked the meal... Now seriously, have any of you folks seen behavior like that before? This is normally something I'd expect when it's breeding time, but not in early October.
I'm not concerned about his health as he's otherwise just being a normal indigo. Thoughts?...
