: My female was born 6 weeks ago and still has not eaten. She has shed twice now. I have tried pinkies, fish scented pinkies, gold fish, and someone even suggested splinting the head of the pinkie and exposing the brain. i have tried it all with NO success!! She seems to still have plenty of energy, just no appetite. If there are any other suggestions i am open to try anything!!! Thanks for any help Randy

Randy,
I would try to relax and not focus on the snake. It is common for baby eastern indigos to go off food and not accept ANY food for up to 2 months or more after hatching. try goldfish, guppies, defosted kippers and small frogs. Also, take them away from heat and give them privacy. i recomend that you put them in the closet and ignore them for about 4 weeks. Then try to feed them. The two sheds are a good sign and the snake is probably healthy and does not want to eat what you are offering it right now, period. Best advice is contact breeder you bought it from, NOT EXPECTING him to refund your money, but tell him the status of the snake. I just got back one from a customer that would not eat and has since eaten twice while in my care. When its ready to eat it will eat. Go to the video store , rent "On any given Sunday" , get some popcorn and RELAX. This to will pass and is normal, it happens to everyone except those that lie and say that it doesn't.

Fred
