the same as a pair of shoes from WalMart. Too many things can happen after they leave your control ie disease, parasites, stress, injury, etc etc. These are issues which you have no control over. A neonate not eating "on demand" is unreasonable and demonstrates a lack of knowledge on the part of the new owner. You are not using the Indigo's for your lively hood and I would not be inclined to handle this situation in the same situation as if it were a primary business. I think your offer of getting it back "on feed" is more than reasonable. In the future, if I were in your shoes, I would simply state no returns or refunds on live animals unless return arrangements are made within 24 hrs of receipt.
It sounds to me like this guy is a newbie that finds himself in over his head. I believe your reputation can stand any disgruntlement that this one individual might try to spread around. Heck, I've hatched Corn snakes that wouldn't feed for weeks after birth and I sure never panicked.
