Alain,

if you get this, this is Laura from Flushing. I just got the copy of THE HERPTILE, Vol 25 No 4, which you sent me in the mail. The corucia are on the front cover and yes, I would love to see the second part when it comes out. How much did it cost you to send me this overseas? I can send you a check for the next mailing.

Please send me your email addy when you get a chance. I loved getting the issue in the mail and would like to keep in regular contact. I loved your letter too. But I think email is a better way to keep in touch when you are across the pond.

I am extremely interested in trying to preserve Corucia and what teeny, tiny pieces of wild area may be left that they are living in. One day when I can, hopefully soon, I would like to visit the tiny pieces where they still are and collect some sort of HUMANE data, where the animals are left where they are. I hate Picklers of animals. We've got tons of species in jars that went extinct anyway, and there are too few left in the wild for us to be able to afford killing them for research.

Would it ever be possible to get a private studbook going for Corucia keepers? How about a Corucia association? How can we get more people interested before it's too late?

And, am I spelling your last name right. I'm so sorry, but I could not be sure from your handwriting (not that mine is any better).

Best Wishes, Laura from New York!
