no his cage won't last forever... it needs to be taller deeper and wider.. i have heard on here somewhere around 8 tall by 6 wide by 4 deep. if you can't afford all of the mesh, it may be more affordable to have one side of mesh and the rest wood. My iguana is a free roamer, but this is usually only possibe if you have an are, such as a spare bedroom or bathroom, that can be iguana-proofed. Iguana's seem to really enjoy free roaming. I don't know, that's about all i've got. I don't know a lot about enclosures because I don't use them.
