Ok during winter I had a 75 W Heat Glow light the cage which kept the cage at 92 –82. With out it on the cage was constantly at 82 cause the heating fan is close by the cage. Now that warmer temps are here the heat doesn’t kick in as much if not at all and the temps now dropped to 82 –75. So I put in a 150 W lamp in to get the temps back up which it did but I decided to measure the temp right directly under the basking spot and it gets up 110. Now I’m afraid that he will burn him self. Now my question is how high from the basking spot our your heat lamps are and what temps do you get directly below them.
