I know what you mean. I have seen some people "get it" on here. I have also been the person giving it because I get so frustrated at people. Not because of what they do as often as why they do it. I am more concerned when someone sees a cute iguana in the pet store and ponies up the $10 to get a present for an unsuspecting friend, and then balks at the thought of a $40 vet bill. I am not well off, but I spent $40 on dinner this weekend!

Now, to your question. Yeah, a vit A deficiency could be part of it. Also, it might be very dehydrated, which would give it the sad eyed holocaust victim (an image which seems appropriate) look. Maybe you can get a freebee from the vet when you take him in, or maybe more sugestions. I am really happy to hear you volunteer birthday money to this little guy, even if you don't end up having to. Until the vet, just keep him warm, wet, and fed. I currently have one iggy who was once a poor half-dead pet shop iguana, and honestly he was 100% changed after two weeks of proper care.

Irish, huh? Original name.

Hope this helps.
nate.
