I have one about a year and a half and he comes in at 39 inches total. I have had one even larger than that at that age, but that was back in the monkey chow days. Nowadays, we know NOT to feed animal protien.
I would say 24 inches is very small for a 2 year old Ig. Possible causes are numerous, but probably the main ones are malnutrition (bad diet or lack of eating), and parasites.
