Do not use Hydrogen Peroxide -it's worthless for reptiles! (Mammals yes) A good vet should know better! Neosporin is the method of choice for wounds and skin infections.
It sounds like you have a great set-up! Have you increased Temperature and UV?
If he's from Florida and you have access to it-Offer him some Hybiscus Flowers. Florida Greens LOVE IT!
As far as force feeding, dark green leafy vegetables (not Spinach) (SORRY, POPEYE!) and perhaps best -Green Beans as due to their shape, they are easier to get down.
