I have my young iguana in a large bird cage. If you're going to use one, you have to take two factors into consideration. First, heat will not stay in, and second humidity won't either. I make up for this by having a space heater in the room that kept it at a good temperature, and I also have a room humidifier that keeps it humid enough. Hope that helps.
