Just some thoughts before you breed...

Have you considered what you will do with the offspring if they don't look colorful or attractive in some way? Most people don't want them, or sell them as "junk snakes."

Breeding is fun, but there are a lot of unwanted offspring that are a result of poor choices, and the animals drift around from collection to collection, often looked at as substandard in the herp industry, and are sometimes mistreated, being fed less or inadequately housed.

I have a bull x black rat that I adopted out of concern for his welfare. He's definitely a learning experience, but I will never breed him. His uniqueness sparks interest with many, but I doubt the majority of folks would keep him over the long haul.

I'm seeing more unwanted crosses of snakes out there at shows, just like dogs that are bred and the puppies don't cut the mustard for owners.

Hybrids and unnatural integrades don't bother me: it's the consequences of no forethought that affect everyone in this hobbyist industry.

Thanks for reading this, and I'm sure you'll make a good decision.

Later.
