Last year I had a booth set up at my local reptile show because I wanted to cut my 50 something herps down to 3 or 4. So anyway it was about 2 hours from closing on the last day and I went and bought me a blood python with part of the money I had got from selling most of my reptiles off. I bought a pretty little female and I went back to my table and sat her down and began petting her when some guy walked up and reached down and touched her on the tail. She whipped around and tagged him, he jerked back and just stood there and the blood lauched herself thru the air and got him again. He looked at my and goes "Thats not a venomous snake is it?" I looked at the guy and said "Yes, its the 2nd most venomous snake in the world, I thought it would be fun to put her out on the table and see how many people she would bite before the day was over" The guy just screamed and ran off toward the door and returned with the on duty police officer, who also just happend to be a herper. He asked me to the snake that had bite the guy and I showed him. He asked the guy if that really was the snake that had bite him and he said yes. Both me and the Cop just broke out laughing and the guy how got bite just stood there with a puzzled look on his face and goes "How long do I have to live, Do you think the hospital down that road has the anti-venom?
Got to love the people that go to the herp show and dont know jack about snakes.
