I agree Kat. I wish I could say I did the same as you, but I couldn't take my eyes off. Sorta like watching a bad car accident, or a huge fat guy in a speedo. You're revolted, but fixated at the same time.
:I was bored and started watching this show too... The guy went through the usual spiel about how he was going to 'exercise the utmost caution in order to avoid being bitten' at the beginning, which only makes it more ironic on how he was harassing the sidewinder to try and get a strike picture. I turned it off after he got bit... I couldn't take the stupidity any longer.
:The guy is just a total idiot. Not only was he getting way too close to the snake, he was also harassing the snake, AND he was using his own hand to do it. He could have atleast used a stick to prod the snake, reducing the chances of him getting bitten... but nooo... What an idiot.
