Snake bite can be potentially dangerous and life threatening. If someone is bitten and does NOT exactly know what type of snake it is, it is always best to err on the side of "duh" and RUN to the hospital, even if it WAS something as harmless as a garter.

BTW, how was he...the snake, I mean, was it okay? Must have been stressed by such antics.
:A friend of mine told me last night that over the summer somebody came into the hospital screaming that hed been bitten by a rattlesnake. To make sure what rattlesnake, they showed him a U.S. venomous book, and he couldn't find a picture of what he'd been bitten by. They showed him another book, and guess what he picked out as the biter??

:A garter snake.
