Misinformation

I don't know how the rest of you feel about the information forums, but I think they are a gas. I've read so much drivel in some of the postings that it's a joke. People give all kinds of information that sounds bad. For example, I had a guy post in response to a question of mine about heating for herps, saying that basking lights and heat pads area waste of time, because they heat only the air or the surafce area of the animal's vivarium. Ahh, hello...THAT'S THE POINT!

I've also noticed there are a lot of folks who seem to think they know everything about herps in captivity, and it's either their way or the highway. When some post something they don't agree with, they do get rude and do just about everything short of flamming. Of course, not everyone at kingsnake's forums are that way. Actually, from what I've seen, there are plenty of people that post respectfully and appear open minded. What works for one person's herps may not work for others. It's just that I end up laughing more at some of the things people post and argue about.

By the way: so any of you find that cartoon on the homepage funny or even cute? I don't.
