Poor husbandry.

It is very uncommon for a parasite to kill a healthy host.
If I were to guess I would say the snake didn't have enough energy to digest 4 frogs. Reptiles that have not eaten well in a long time then fed a large amount can't digest it. Usually they regurgitate the un-digested food and die.
