Maybe i can help with this issue. My close friend and long time breeder of snakes has sucessfully bred hognoses at 1 year of age. So i dont believe age has anything to do with sexual maturity, but size is the important factor. These snakes have (although probably not healthy or normal) been beefed up intentionally for breeding quickly. So i think the sexual maturity develops with size not age. Hope this helps.
