:happy birthday dude. anyway, I would keep them seperate. Hogs are gluttonous little guys and some will even try to eat themselves starting at the tail...so a cage mate would be just another welcome meal. I use UTH for most of my snakes, but some people use overhead lamps. Basically all depends on temp...whatever works for you. Good luck to ya and congrats on the hogs. Andy
