Thanks for the replies. I have decided to take your advice and not try keeping them together...

My issues with keeping up the humidity in the tree frog enclosure are that I do move quite often and wasn't sure if I wanted to commit to an elaborate set up that would be difficult to disassemble. The cage it's self was built to come apart easily for moving. (Hence many small spaces where humidity can esily escape). I had a drain built into the bottom of the cage so that I could add a large water feature, but didn't plan on using it until I moved into a place where I knew I would be staying for a few years.

Great articles on anthromorphism by the way... We touched on the subject briefly in a zoo and aquarium science class, but never got into that much detail.
