No one has even been able to link problems back to rodents other than by speculation. Colchicine has kept some easterns on rodents for over 10 years as stated below. I kept easterns on rodents while I had some, for about a year or so. Never had any problems. A lot of people will give the hognose a mouse, and when it dies later, blame it on fatty liver disorder because "the mouse did it." Lame and totally unfounded. And, as I always say, until I can see a necropsy and report that it is bad, I see nothing wrong with it. Andy
