They're venomous. I just wasn't sure if you knew, judging by your post, and the previous post didn't really spell that out. They're not fatal, but very painful and potentially debilitating. Tameness, IMO, should never enter into the equation with a dangerously venomous animal, because you should never trust them enough to put yourself in a situation where you could possibly be bitten.
But I imagine the price tag is also a bit of a roadblock for you, as it is for me.
I see that perhaps you were entertaining the thought of a bearded dragon? You can't go wrong with them. They like to sit on your shoulder. Very nice.
-A person who has a bearded dragon and is eventually going to have a Gila- probably within the next few years.
