Allen, Introduce your known female to the "male" of the pair you purchased and see how they react. If that goes well try putting your known female with the "female" of the pair and observe their reactions. One word of caution, You should never let the aggression escalate to the point where one of the animals is biting the other(they can very easily sever a limb). I have one definate female in my collection that will not tolerate any of my males except one so evidently some animals regardless of sex just aren't compatible.
Good Luck

: I just put a pair of my gilas together last weekend. The "pair" was sold to me as 1.1 but when I put them together, they really started fighting (biting, hissing, chasing) I got scared so I sperated them. Is this very common? I guess there's a change that they're both males.

: I do have another female (I'm sure this one is) that I can introduce to the male, but just wanted to get advice. If they were both males, should I just consider this combatting and introduce a different female.

: Any info would help!!!!

: I thought this forum would get busier now that breeding season is here.....
