......I am in no way condoning the killing of ANY venomous creature for the sake of safety!!! (except maybe those Africanized "KILLER" Bees)

What you need to understand is that no matter how tame a Gila Monster appears to be, they are NEVER to be completely trusted. Should you ever have the misfortune of learning this "the hard way", I guarantee that you will never be able to look at one the same way again. It's that traumatic of an experience......
