As YOU know I have had a good number of gila's come through my hands, and I have seen ALOT of animals grow up over the last 10 years or so. I will say that a good number of both: (Bandeds/Retic's) were REALLY NOT what they were SUPPOSED to be!! I have seen "PURE" Banded's turn out VERY VERY Retic. looking, and the same with some "PURE" Retic's turn out VERY Banded looking.
I use the word "PURE" as that is what they were SUPPOSED to BE! LOL!!!! MY feeling on the whole Banded/Retic thing is like Kerry said, they ARE the SAME animal. MY opinion is that they are like the Grey Banded Kingsnake, No two alike!!!! They just come from DIFFERENT parts of their Range!!!
This is JUST MY "OPINION"!!!!!!!!!!!!
