Could you provide a bit more detail about the wound? Where on the body is it located? Does it appear to just affect the outer scales or is the tear a bit deeper into the underlying tissue? Is there any pink colour apparent, any fluid or swelling? Normal activity can result in a missing scale or two and will resolve itself with the next shed (or two). A slightly deeper tear can be treated with a couple daily applications of Betadine or Polysporin ointment for a few days. You might want to keep the snake on newspaper during this time. Any deeper puncture wound, like a rodent bite should be seen by a vet for systemic antibiotics.
