:They are just as easy, if not easier to care for than balls. They can be nippy when young, but they grow out of it and become as friendly as a ball, just more active! They are also commonly eating machines and do not fast like balls do. I think a nice CBB Jungle carpet would be the perfect snake you are looking for.
