That's great info! Thanks! Too small for chicken eggs? I never would have thought that in a million years! I thought egg eater snakes could eat an egg 10 times the size of their head! lol Shows how much I should know, being a encyclopedia of animal facts on the norm...
RodentPro.com sells frozen quail. I get my rats from there for my other snake, a normal ball python. I wonder if they would sell the eggs?? Hmmm.. well now that I know that there's only one egg-eating snake (that's amazing!), I'll look into getting quail eggs. I'm guessing since you haven't mentioned one, the egg eater snake doesn't have a common name?
"Hey Mark! I got a Dasypeltis Inornata today!"
"A what?"
"That snake that eats eggs."
"Oh."
JFYI, I decided to ask this now (I was gonna ask this a lot later) because I don't have a job and my fiance has been upkeeping my ball python. I NEED incentive (and motivation) to break my anxiety of getting a job with something really awesome... like the egg-eater snake! My fiance really loves my snake(s) too and he's expressed that I should find an egg-eater one cause he thinks they are just too cool, and so do I. :) They aren't popular though, so are they super expensive? Anything over $100 is expensive to me. My ball was $45. lol
