My day gecko is acting weird this past couple of days...and im starting to get worried...

1. He opens his mouth when hes basking under the heat lamp.

2. I have some fake plants in the enclosure, and there are these small pebbles glued to the bottom of it, just for looks......well, at night i keep watching him trying to bite it off, and it looks like he wants to eat it....? I feed him mealworms, and crix...aswell as baby-food. (All Dusted!)

.............finally, there is some blood patches on some plants in some places in the terrarium, but i dont see any cuts or wounds on him. Do mealworms have blood? And are they red? Should i worry at all about any of these situatuins?

-any help would be appreciated, THX
