Tropiocolotes Steudneri is Steudner's Dwarf Gecko. They are also known as 'Dwarf Ground Geckos', 'Pigmy Geckos' and 'Dwarf Geckos'. They are a terrestrial species (ground living) and are also a very small geckos, reaching 2 - 3 inches adult length (nose to tail tip). These geckos are very similar to T. tripolitanus. Both range across Northern Africa and can be kept the same way. They may also be kept together but they'll cross breed. Keeping them is very simple and easy to due. You are able to keep many geckos together as they are a social species. A 10 - 15 gallon tank will house several geckos, up to 10 - 12 in the 15gal. Temps should average 85 - 88 degrees in the basking end and in the lower 80's in the cooler end. This should drop slightly at night. Misting the tank a few times each night is required. A small water dish is needed, and they WILL drink out of it. Make sure its a shallow one and that they can climb out easily. For substrate, a fine sand suitable. Provide a layer about 3 - 4 inches thick to allow digging. Slate is ideal for making caves for these geckos. Small cork bark logs are also great for climbing on. They are active geckos and will chase each other so will need things to climb on. You'll also need many hiding places for a large group of geckos, esp if you have more then one male. Food is the hardest thing to sort out. Due to they're small size they'll need to be ofered tiny food items. 1 week old crickets are ideal and are readily taken. Fruitflies are also loved.
I think that covers it. hope this helps!
