I've been to Silver Springs several times also and Sobek is a monster. He is probably 16 feet but a ways from 2000 pounds. He does however have one of the largest heads I've ever seen.D.C.

they are not far off the mark at all...He is just tremendous..Hard to tell how big he is in the water, Was a cloudy day and he didn't come out to bask.
