how to use fiberglass to waterproof?

i'm making plans for a large cage for a dwarf caiman and was wondering how hard it is to make a wood water area framed with 2x4's and covered with plywood, then to line it with fiberglass to waterproof it. does anyone have any links or sugestions for me, i basically have no idea where to start. thank you in advance.
