i cant wait for this weekend,,,the weather is supposed to warm up pretty nice here in western new york,,and it just so happens one of the largest garter snakes i have ever seen lives in my parents back yard in the compost piles. i see it all the time,,im planning on catching him/her and getting pics and possibly keeping it.its a nasty one though so i might just release it,,it strikes and holds its ground when you go after it,,ahha,,most garters just take off!
