:: I was just worried about missing the delivery, I don't really know how that works.
::I guess I'll just have to wait. Thanks!

:Well you can reserve a snake with Scott. Or you can wait until people start announcing their births. I generally post here when each clutch pops. I usually keep them a month or more to see how they color up and to get them fattened. I will then post an ad in the kingsnake classifieds under "colubrids and other snakes". I don't take reservations. I have a few people I promised first shot at next years flames.

:You are going to have to check out the laws for your state to see if you can legally keep them.
:For Tennesee:

:You may need an importation permit. I don't know if garters require this or not.

:I couldn't determine from the Tennesee sites I found whether garters are regulated or not. Most likely not. You will have to do more research or write them to find out. It is safer just to write.

:Here's info on Kentucky:

:I didn't do an exhastive search. I'm home sick from work today and don't have the energy for anything other that this quick post. Again write your state to get info on your laws.

:
Wow! Thanks for looking up so much stuff for me. I live in Kentucky, 45 minutes from Nashville. I will definitely look into the state's laws concerning garters. Although, I'm not sure if they are goverened because a local pet store had some checkered garters for sale. I'll still look into it though, can't hurt to know the laws. I'm in no rush, I want to find just the right one for me : ) Hope you are feeling better soon! amber
