I have had a potted pothos in my reptarium since I've had my garters, and they seem just fine. There shouldn't be any problem with potted plants in the reptariums, as it won't bother the snakes at all. I don't mist it though, just water it when needed. My four garters are often found curled up among the foliage of my pothos plant relaxing.
