Look into your local laws as well before doing anything. You might need permits and such just to collect, not to mention seperate ones for breeding and selling. Depends on state and area. Remember that garters are not the most expensive snakes in the hobby and you really wont make a killing off of them in all likelihood. So do not think you are gonna be rollin in the dough or anything. People that I know that breed garters do so for the pleasure of breeding. Either way, good luck to you! Andy
