: : : I am looking for information of rasing Microhylidae tadpoles. As well as information on what to do when they strat to metamorphose. I've been told that these amphibians are very specific eaters so the more information I can get the better.

: : Hello Nathalie:
: : The family Microhylidae is very diverse and contains over 300 species. Not all are specialised feeders. Tomato Frogs (Discophus sp.) and Asian Bullfrogs (Kaloula pulchra) are both Microhylids that will eat most foods offered to them. Which species are you talking about?
Nathalie, Microhyla ornata is a small frog common in Hong KOng. the tadpole is filter feeder that float about on the surface or in mid-water. Get some nice pond water and offer some finely grinded floating fish food once in a while. The froglet will take small ants readily.Cute little frogs they are.Hope this help!?
