Plants are tough. I have ivy in with my toad and amazingly, like yours, it is growing good so far and hasnt withered up and died. I also have a few "swamp plants" I found out by the creek that I rinsed the dirt off of to remove any bugs that might be on them, and a mat of green moss also. It is fun to create naturalistic terrariums, though they do need to be maintained more than your basic Forest Bed and waterbowl setup.
