:I'm not sure. When I was do the land set up with a deep swimming pool, I use bed-a-beast, but mine burrow at all. Someone on here said that they provided the same type of substrate for it, too, but it didn't burrow for winter neither eventhough no heating was provided. Try looking behind and under furniture or anything it could have hide in.
