I've been researching Atelopus everywhere. I managed to print out pics of about 11 species so I know What I have when they arrive. However, there are 60 species, I'd saythat there is a pretty good chance that the one I get will be pretty obscure. Eric O or anybody, do you knopw what countries in South and central america that don't have very stringent rules on export? I believe Panama does, but that's all I can think of. This could help me pinpoint what species I might be getting. Anyways, in my reseach I discovered that not all Atelopus inhabit running water, and not all of them require cool temps. I believe that Atelopus peruensis is nearly immpossible to keep, it requires cool and dry conditions. Atelopus flavescens is the pink and orange one and supposedly inhabits tropical lowlands and doesn't breed in running water. I doubt the ones i'm getting are that colorful, for only 12 bucks. Atelopus varius does inhabit running water and is variable in color. Atelopus ignescens in dull and warty. Does anybody have anything to add?JK
