I had a question about feeding the frills...

Right now I just pick the frills up from their branches and put them on the bottom of the cage. I then just throw crix in front of them until they stop eating. I had tried a plastic container but they seemed frightened when put in there and did not eat. Also, how can I train them to drink from a water bowl? I have been putting them by the water bowl every time I mist them, but they do not seem to be putting two and two together. Any suggestions. Thanks, Jacob
